4. It has a short shelf life or limited reach.

Trend and news-focused content can be helpful in highlighting some of your products’ or services’ benefits, but it will suffer a short shelf life as a result.  Updating older content with newer links, infographics, videos and more contemporary advice can help to prevent this from occurring.

5. It isn’t being used to build subscribers.

Content that doesn’t build subscribers is failing to help a business achieve its goals.  Instead, content should encourage readers to subscribe by offering them special insider tips and deals that are hard to pass up.
